PTI Graduates Win Full-Time Jobs After Outstanding Performance at MGVOWGAS

The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, Delta State, has received a major commendation for the exceptional quality of graduates produced by the institution, following the confirmation of eight of its graduates as full-time employees of MGVOWGAS Limited.

The commendation was contained in a letter dated May 19, 2026, and addressed to the Registrar of PTI, with particular attention to Dr. (Mrs.) Tina O. Isichei.

The letter, signed by Tila Best, Manager, Human Resources and Administration, on behalf of MGVOWGAS Limited, followed the successful completion of a one-year Graduate Trainee Programme by eight PTI graduates recommended by the Institute.

The graduates are Jeghwo David Oghenebrohien, Enubuzor Chinedu John, Ochei Johnson Onyedikachi, Ugochukwu Makua Divine, Ibibo Kombo Bernard, Edokpolor Osa-Osenimwen Moses, Ikechukwu Faith Adaugo and Harry Faith Sokiepirim.

According to the company, the graduates were recommended by PTI following a request made in August 2024 and were subsequently enrolled in its Graduate Trainee Programme.

MGVOWGAS  Management disclosed that their successful transition from trainees to permanent staff was based on their outstanding conduct, competence and overall contributions throughout the programme.

Beyond their technical knowledge and intellectual capacity, the company said the graduates demonstrated resilience, professionalism, integrity, discipline, adaptability and admirable character.

The company noted that their performance was a reflection not only of individual capabilities but also of the quality of education, values and institutional grooming provided by PTI.

The commendation represents a significant endorsement of PTI's mandate to produce technically competent manpower for Nigeria's oil and gas industry and other sectors requiring highly skilled professionals.

MGVOWGAS further observed that PTI's contribution extends beyond the awarding of academic qualifications, stressing that the Institute is producing well-rounded professionals equipped with the character, mindset and competence necessary to succeed in a demanding modern workplace.

The company described this contribution as an investment in Nigeria's future workforce, industry professionals and leaders.

MGVOWGAS expressed appreciation to PTI for its commitment to excellence and capacity development, while pledging to sustain and strengthen the relationship between both organisations.

The development also highlights the growing importance of partnerships between specialised institutions such as PTI and industry operators in bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical workplace requirements.

The successful absorption of the eight graduates into MGVOGAS company's permanent workforce provides a compelling example of how industry-linked training can translate academic preparation into sustainable employment and professional development.

For PTI, the commendation is a strong validation of its continuing role in developing the technical manpower required to support Nigeria's energy sector and broader industrial development.
