PAP: Conduct Camp Verification Exercise to Complete the Sanitization of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Ogidigba Appeals to Otuaro

The leadership of the Amnesty Delegates Forum has called on the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), High Chief Dennis Otuaro, PhD, to urgently conduct a comprehensive camp verification exercise across Phases 1, 2, and 3 as part of the ongoing reforms aimed at sanitizing the programme.

In a statement signed by Gen. Godstime Ogidigba (Ogidigba), the Forum stated:

"When the owner of a farm is too slow to catch a thief, the thief will eventually accuse the owner of being the thief."

According to Ogidigba, Chief Dennis Otuaro's refusal to compromise or continue with the old order within the Amnesty Programme has shaken the foundation of corruption and exposed those who have allegedly benefited from irregularities in the system.

The Forum commended the ongoing reforms under Otuaro's leadership, noting that they are already yielding positive results. It therefore appealed to him to sustain the reform agenda by immediately conducting a camp verification exercise for beneficiaries in Phases 1, 2, and 3.

The Forum believes that such an exercise will correct errors made during the early implementation of the programme, identify genuine beneficiaries, eliminate irregularities, and provide a lasting solution that will strengthen the credibility and effectiveness of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.

Furthermore, the Forum appealed to genuine ex-agitator leaders and beneficiaries to remain patient and continue supporting the administration of Chief Dennis Otuaro as it works towards the complete sanitization of the programme.

Signed:

Gen. Ogidigba Godstime Ogidigba

Leadership, Amnesty Delegates Forum
