The Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Security, Hon. Clement Ofovwi, popularly known as General Oloye, has described the just-concluded Delta State Economic and Investment Summit as a landmark achievement that has repositioned Delta as one of Nigeria's most attractive investment destinations.

Speaking while assessing the outcome of the three-day summit, General Oloye commended Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for what he called "an exceptional demonstration of visionary leadership, strategic planning, and unwavering commitment to the economic transformation of Delta State."

According to him, the impressive turnout of local and international investors, captains of industry, development partners, financial institutions, diplomats, policy experts, and business leaders was a clear indication that confidence in Delta State has reached an unprecedented level under Governor Oborevwori's administration.

General Oloye noted that the summit was far more than a ceremonial gathering, describing it as a practical platform that showcased the immense investment opportunities across Delta's critical sectors, including energy, oil and gas, agriculture, manufacturing, technology, tourism, infrastructure, marine economy, transportation, and the creative industry.

"The Governor has once again demonstrated that governance is about creating opportunities for the people. This summit has projected Delta State as a preferred investment destination and has opened new frontiers for economic growth, industrial expansion, job creation, and sustainable development," he said.

The security aide further observed that Governor Oborevwori's MORE Agenda has continued to inspire confidence among investors because of the administration's deliberate investments in road infrastructure, security, education, healthcare, and the ease of doing business.

He stressed that no investor would commit resources to an environment lacking peace and security, adding that the Governor's sustained efforts in strengthening security architecture across the state have significantly enhanced investor confidence.

"As someone directly involved in the security sector, I can confidently state that the administration has continued to prioritize the safety of lives and property. Investors are naturally attracted to stable and peaceful environments, and Governor Oborevwori has ensured that Delta remains one of the safest states for investment and business activities," General Oloye stated.

He praised the calibre of participants who attended the summit, saying the presence of renowned entrepreneurs, multinational corporations, development finance institutions, international partners, and respected policymakers underscored the growing national and global confidence in Delta State's economic prospects.

General Oloye further applauded the Governor for articulating a bold economic vision centred on diversification, industrialisation, private sector partnership, innovation, and sustainable wealth creation, describing the summit as a catalyst for accelerated socio-economic development.

He expressed optimism that the memoranda of understanding, investment commitments, and strategic partnerships initiated during the summit would translate into tangible projects capable of expanding the state's economy, creating thousands of jobs for youths, empowering local businesses, and improving the living standards of Deltans.

The Governor's aide also commended the organizing committee, government officials, development partners, and stakeholders whose dedication ensured the successful hosting of the summit.

He called on prospective investors to take advantage of the enormous opportunities available in Delta State, assuring them of the government's commitment to maintaining peace, security, transparency, and an enabling business environment.

General Oloye concluded by reaffirming his total support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's economic vision, expressing confidence that the success of the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit would mark the beginning of a new era of unprecedented economic prosperity, industrial development, and inclusive growth for the state.
