2027: Amnesty Delegates Forum Backs Tompolo’s PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign, Mobilises South-South for Tinubu

The political temperature in the South-South region has begun to rise ahead of the 2027 general elections, as the leadership of the Amnesty Delegates Forum has thrown its weight behind the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign Organisation, declaring its readiness to mobilise voters across the region for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The group, in a statement signed by its leader, Gen. Godstime Ogidigba, said its membership cuts across the South-South geopolitical zone and would embark on grassroots mobilisation aimed at galvanising support for President Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

According to the Forum, its mobilisation strategy would reach communities, wards and localities across the region, with the objective of building a formidable grassroots support base for the President irrespective of ethnic background, religious affiliation or political persuasion.

The group also urged political, traditional and community leaders across the South-South to close ranks and rally behind High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, and the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign Organisation in the drive to secure a fresh mandate for President Tinubu.

The Amnesty Delegates Forum appealed to South-South leaders to deploy their political structures, networks and supporters towards the campaign, stressing that the task of national development should transcend tribal, religious and partisan considerations.

It said the 2027 election presented an opportunity for stakeholders in the region to participate actively in determining the direction of the country and urged leaders to mobilise their respective constituencies for the President.

The Forum further called on the South-South Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign Organisation to broaden the organisation's membership and operational structure to accommodate more Nigerians who are willing to contribute to the campaign for President Tinubu's re-election.

The group maintained that expanding the campaign organisation would provide greater room for committed stakeholders, grassroots mobilisers and political actors to contribute their quota to the re-election project.

It described grassroots mobilisation as critical to the success of any political campaign, particularly in a region as politically significant as the South-South.

The Forum therefore called for a broad-based mobilisation framework capable of bringing together supporters across party lines and social divides in pursuit of what it described as a common national objective.

Gen. Ogidigba reaffirmed the Forum's commitment to working with the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign Organisation and other stakeholders to mobilise support for President Tinubu across the South-South region ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
