General Oloye Congratulates Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State on Democracy Day

The Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Security Matters, Hon. Clement Ofovwi, popularly known as General Oloye, has extended warm congratulations to the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on the occasion of Nigeria's Democracy Day, describing the Governor as a shining example of democratic leadership, inclusiveness, and purposeful governance.

In a goodwill message made available to newsmen, General Oloye commended Governor Oborevwori for his unwavering commitment to the ideals of democracy, particularly his dedication to the welfare of Deltans through the implementation of the administration's people-oriented MORE Agenda, which continues to impact communities across the three senatorial districts of the state.

According to the security aide, Democracy Day provides an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the sacrifices made by patriots who fought for democratic governance and to celebrate the gains recorded under democratic rule. He noted that Delta State under Governor Oborevwori has witnessed remarkable progress in infrastructure development, human capital advancement, youth empowerment, security enhancement, and economic growth.

General Oloye further praised the Governor's leadership style, describing it as consultative, responsive, and focused on delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people. He stated that the administration has consistently demonstrated transparency, accountability, and a strong commitment to good governance, earning the confidence and support of citizens across the state.

The Special Assistant also acknowledged Governor Oborevwori's efforts in promoting peace and security, stressing that the Governor has continued to work closely with security agencies, community leaders, and stakeholders to maintain stability and safeguard lives and property throughout Delta State. He noted that the prevailing atmosphere of peace has encouraged investment and accelerated socio-economic development.

Speaking on the significance of June 12, General Oloye said the day remains a symbol of the resilience of the Nigerian people and their collective determination to uphold democratic values. He urged citizens to continue supporting democratic institutions and leaders who are committed to national development, unity, and the rule of law.

He also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for sustaining democratic governance in the country and called on political leaders at all levels to prioritize the welfare of the people while fostering national cohesion and sustainable development.

General Oloye concluded by wishing Governor Sheriff Oborevwori continued wisdom, good health, and divine guidance as he pilots the affairs of Delta State. He expressed confidence that under the Governor's visionary leadership, the state would continue to record greater achievements and remain a model of democratic governance and development in Nigeria.
