General Oloye Congratulates Senator Ede Dafinone Over APC Primary Victory, Calls for Greater Unity Across Delta Central

Hon. Clement Ofovwi, popularly known as General Oloye, who serves as Personal Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on Security Matters and Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, PAP, Third Phase, has congratulated the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, following his victory at the All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial primary election.

In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists shortly after the conclusion of the primary exercise, General Oloye described Senator Dafinone’s emergence as the APC candidate for Delta Central as “a well-deserved and overwhelming victory,” reflecting the confidence, trust and unwavering support he enjoys among party faithful, delegates and the people of the senatorial district.

According to General Oloye, the outcome of the primary election was a clear demonstration of Senator Dafinone’s growing political influence, outstanding legislative performance and deep connection with the grassroots across the eight local government areas that make up Delta Central Senatorial District.

He noted that Senator Dafinone has continued to distinguish himself through purposeful representation, intellectual depth, quality contributions on the floor of the Senate and unwavering commitment to the development and progress of Delta Central and Nigeria at large.

General Oloye commended APC leaders, delegates and supporters for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the primary election, stressing that the maturity displayed throughout the process was a strong indication of the unity and growing strength of the party within Delta Central.

The respected political leader and former ex-agitator further stated that Senator Dafinone’s victory should not only be viewed as a personal achievement but also as a collective triumph for loyal APC members who have remained steadfast in promoting progressive ideals, democratic participation and grassroots politics across the senatorial district

General Oloye called on all stakeholders, party leaders, youths and supporters of the APC in Delta Central to close ranks and work together in unity ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

He emphasized that political unity, strategic collaboration and sustained grassroots mobilisation remain critical ingredients for electoral success and sustainable political advancement.

According to him, the APC in Delta Central must continue to build bridges of understanding, reconciliation and cooperation in order to consolidate its growing popularity and acceptance among the people.

General Oloye also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, youth empowerment, security, political stability and community development across Delta State.

He stressed that leaders must continue to place the collective interest of the people above personal ambitions, adding that enduring political progress can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity, mutual respect and inclusive leadership.

While congratulating Senator Ede Dafinone on what he described as a “resounding mandate and renewed expression of confidence by the people,” General Oloye expressed optimism that the Senator would continue to deliver quality representation, attract more democratic dividends and strengthen legislative advocacy for the benefit of Delta Central constituents.

He further urged APC faithful and supporters not to relent in their support for the party, maintaining that victory at the polls is best secured through effective grassroots engagement, unity of purpose and continuous mobilisation across wards and communities.

The statement concluded with prayers for sustained peace, progress and political stability in Delta Central Senatorial District and Delta State as a whole.
