It is against this backdrop that the decision of the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, to convene the Delta Security Summit stands out as a bold and commendable initiative. Scheduled to hold on June 17 at Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, the summit, themed "Security: A Collective Responsibility," reflects proactive leadership and a shared commitment to strengthening peace, safety and social stability across the state.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has already awarded contracts worth over N34billion for the construction of 25 divisional police headquarters across the state, alongside other strategic investments designed to enhance security infrastructure and operational readiness.
